Exivious Shirt Design

Exivious is one of my favorite bands. They're highly technical, but also easy on the ears. They mix elements of jazz fusion with progressive metal. Being a huge Cynic fan, I discovered them after reading that Tymon Kruidenier would join the group. I knew I would love it, and I did!

They had a shirt design contest and this was my submission. Although it wasn't the ultimate winner, I still love this design. I used a lot of crazy shape intersection options with the pathfinder tool in Illustrator to create an intricate line pattern. There's a beautiful "ordered chaos" to it that reminds me of their musical compositions.
